Review: Looking at the box, you believe you know actually what is going to happen. He'll break her heart, and she'll me a mess through the entire movie. NOT! Okay the leading chick is CRAZY! She takes you through a beautifully painted journey of love, upsets, and unfaithfulness. You will be so pissed at the guy throughout the movie, when the end hits, you'll feel cheated and stupid at the same time. The film is a little slow at times, but it's to really pull you in for the story. You don't realize it's a great movie until the end, so if you do watch it please stay for the full film. This is a great rent, or if you are like me you just have to have every movie. Watch it with a guy, he'll really enjoy the end.

Movie: UP (2009)

Review: At first I thought I was taking my 3yr old daughter to see a cartoon, but was I pleasantly surprised. This animated story tells a lovely story of two people who meet, fall in love, and share the same passion for adventure. The story comes to a crashing Holt when death hits the story. To deal with the lost, Carl Fredricksen takes everything that meant anything to the one person he loved on a wonderful adventure. In the journey he meets a life long friend Russell, Kevin, and a talking dog. The story is absolutely great! A lot of it however was a bit adult. I had to explain a variety of scenes to my daughter. I'd say because of the animation of course children could watch it, but it really was a older film. It is a great watch for adults who have lost there child within. You will laugh, smile, and even cry; all while wearing 3-D glasses. This is a must watch for any age!

Heaven & Earth

Review: This is seriously the BEST movie I have ever seen. I saw this movie almost 10yrs ago, and have never forgotten it. The story has embedded itself into my soul. The film follows a little Vietnamese girl from her childhood, to her wise older age. From the beginning her life was impactful, and demanding. She lived thru rape, death, torture, love, and sheer punishment. Her life teaches her to be strong, and take everything with a grain of salt. Le Ly (Hiep) is the main character, who falls in love with a American solider; Tommy Lee.

The film takes you into several worlds through the eyes of a lost little girl the entire movie. War, is one of the driving forces in this film. It supports the film, you feel completely involved. Le Ly does become a woman, but not without ever leaving that little girl. Life continues to hold her hostage. This story is beautiful, and sad. It makes you cry but with hope inside the tears. If you have not seen this movie...SEE IT!

Eagle vs Shark

Review: Awkward losers love story, basically that's it. This film was funny, but strange. Cute but ugly. It follows two young adults in New Zealand, that are complete losers. They do the strangest things, but they really connect with one another. It's a true testament to "there is someone for everyone." The movie has some really funny parts, but it also has some really strange parts. The plot is super simple. Very easy to follow. One of the best parts of the film is, this apple thrown away that comes to life, and is attacked by bees, and ants. He's running to safety and finds this leaf to sail away on. The story is that cute, and strange. This is definitely a afternoon watch, when you just want to laugh and connect with the misunderstanding of the world and love.

Review: Wow, I'm not sure where to start. First let me say, I really wanted to like this movie, not only is it a Black movie, it was written and directed by a black cast. That is really the only good thing I can say about it. The trailer was better than the movie. The movie was a complete MESS. The stories all left you completely puzzled. I kept wondering was the movie going to have a point. The film followed several different people in all the same situations; centering around sex. The characters where not really detailed, and most of them where predictable. The film itself was dark, and grainy, it looked really low budget, and homemade. Even as the movie progressed, I kept telling myself just turn it off. It was a complete waste of time. I can't tell you enough, do not waste a dollar on this film; currently $19.99 at Target. I wouldn't even recommend you watch it for free, you'd just be throwing away time from your precious life.

Review: I actually caught this during a midnight non-sleep attack. The film follows a middle aged mum (Anne Reid) who has to deal with her husbands death, by moving in with her evil, ungrateful children temporarily. The actual movie is very crisp. All of the shots are full, and in a slight colorless environment. Both the children (grown children) have more issues that the film needed. The story makes you hopeful for the mother when she finds what she thinks is love in a very younger man who is also doing someone close to her. Romance story with a very strange twist. I feel like the movie could have been better without the madness of the unneeded characters. The film makes you wonder if all children are that evil, unforgiving, and selfish when it comes to there parents needs. I cheered on May (Anne Reid) the entire movie, but it wasn't enough to make me love it.
